Being a Mother in This World Is Hard

Becoming a mother is an incredible life transition. You may be just considering pregnancy, two years postpartum, or anywhere in between. No matter where you are in your journey, you may feel like there is too much going on to keep your head above water.  Your life is different. You are different. I specialize in strengths based, patient-centered therapy and will work with you to identify the strengths you already possess in order to build your coping skills and support network.

You are not alone on this journey. Just asking for help is a great first step.

perinatal mental health

Hi, I’m Dana.

I’m a Clinical Social Worker, Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional, and mom of two girls. I have years of experience working with women in the perinatal period–from trying to get pregnant to the postpartum period and everything in between. My specialty training includes postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, pregnancy and infant loss, termination for medical reasons (TFMR), and abortion. In my work, I use a variety of modalities, and make space for you to learn how to trust yourself, attune to your emotions, and to tell your story.

Your path is one that is unique to you, but you don’t have to walk it alone. I really do believe that you deserve to feel better. Let’s get started!
